The land of the 'scooter' and Pho

Who said Asians can't drive. This is the best display of scooter navigating I have ever seen. No lights, no stopping, no yelling but plenty of horns. The food culture here is very different but not unexpected. The menu has all sorts from chicken, squid, pig trotters, scorpions and baby chickens.

I opt for the fresh spring rolls and Pho... this one is for you Danny! The best pho so far but not the last. Hopefully your cousins can make sure HCMC beats Hanoi in the Pho Stakes.

Congee and Lau Pa Sat

As a special venture for my friend Dylan, I sampled various different types on Congee fro several locations and Little India wins. Not the most hygienic looking place (he lady who served me at 10 in the morning was also cutting up chicken liver with her other hand). They key to this... the cut long ones on top!

Other than the Congee... La Pau Sat once again provided the ultimate feast. Stingray, Murtabak and of course Satays from 'The best Satay in Singapore'. Self proclaimed but not far from the truth.

Welcome Singers!

And the Humidity begins

We have landed.. in the land of the best food! Not quite the manky 8 meal food tour but a good noodle and dumpling dish to start.

Pinot Noir...

sunny 17 °C

Just checked into the lounge... first pinot noir for the trip. A nice NZ pinot, the last in the southern hemisphere for a while.
